The OPTIMEX company was founded in early 1998 by Messrs MOURGUES and DURY, the majority shareholders.
The third shareholder with a roughly 20% stake, the ENSIVAL
MORETgroup, is a European leader in industrial centrifugal pumping
equipment and a privileged partner of OPTIMEX : sales and technical
collaboration is regularly practiced between the two companies. The
OPTIMEX company is located in the Lyon region, at the heart of one of
Europe's largest industrial regions in the chemicals field. The
location has facilitated much fruitful cooperation in developing a
range of products to take account of this industry's needs.
The founders have long experience of pumps in the
chemical and petroleum industries. The idea of launching a new range of
canned motor pumps came from the many requests for this technology
from our customer base, who were also looking out for better service
than obtained from existing manufacturers. The outstanding reliability
and safety of this technology spell out a bright future for it. Ever
since the beginning of the OPTIMEX company's existence, the aim has
been to develop its own range of motors with canned rotors and lined
stators.
The second mission was to design an assembly that
would harmonise with standardised hydraulic parts, taking special care
over the hydraulic balancing of the overall pump and motor unit.
In the space of ten years, the OPTIMEX company has
become one of the main names in this sector, with a position of French
market leader and a growing status in many other countries, especially
in Europe. Today, OPTIMEX obtains half its turnover from exports.
